"Somehow I'm stagnating at my level".
A saying we all know. But how can you expand your pole skills and make the leap to the next level or achieve a long-awaited goal? Here are a few small but crucial tips:
The long awaited trick
We've all been there: You've been chasing a trick for years and just can't get it right. It happens to the best of us. If this trick is not one of the most important transition tricks in pole, then just leave it out. The pole world has so many different spins & tricks to offer, you don't have to know them all. Courage to the gap is the motto here and who knows, maybe the trick will work after a break.
Find new motivation
No successes visible to you can be discouraging. The only thing that helps is a change, a new style, a new challenge & the jump into the deep end. There are many different ways to expand your pole skills. For example, attend more choreography lessons, try exotic, or try increasing your physical conditioning and flexibility. Just breaking out of your usual training zone can work wonders.
Attentive dancing
You've built up an extensive repertoire of spins & tricks. Now it's a matter of wrapping it up nicely and using it to its full potential. Be sure to execute your movement completely, complete transitions with arm and head movements, and vary looks and movements. Tricks also want to be danced. Using rotation, different speeds and movement like waves in different positions, your dance on the pole will be unique.

Pole training at home
There are also poles for home, which can be conveniently clamped between the floor & ceiling (without any screws). However, the purchase of your own pole needs to be considered carefully, as they cost between CHF 250.- and 350.- – but they will last a pole’s lifetime. We recommend to buy only poles from a trustworthy manufacturer, because we would like to avoid any “pole-fails”. Here you can find the X-Poles for your training at home.
